As soon as I hold the brush up he will run over to position himself on his butt and push his head forward from right to left,(in no particular order) into the hard bristled human hair brush while his mouth is slightly opened. I have tried using a tooth brush, but he dislikes this item. I would love to hear what you folks have to say to this one. Peaze

My cat does this too!! But, look closely, your cat is only biting the hair brush, because the brush tickles the cat when you brush it, so it likes to 'tickle' the brush back in return. It's more of a playful thing. I asked my vet this because my cat did the same thing and that's what he told me. We have some funny cats, don't we? :)

There are som kitty spas out there that has an over hanging bristle feature that the can can self tickle and pet with while you are gone. All cats love this and sees it aas a treat.

Living in a house with six indoor cats there is a great deal of brushing that goes on! Not all of the cats do this. Yet a couple of them are compulsive about it. Cats need clean teeth~~Dogs have so many options for dental chews. Cats have few. He may like something like "Greenies" (look like little green toothbrushes) for cats. They are usually with dog chews in the store. Another reason is most likely marking the brush and thanking it for all of the pleasure it provides. I have one cat that flosses her teeth with strands of raffia. I often wonder what is going on in all of those feline heads!?! Yet if I pay close attention it is amazing their ability to communicate ^~^ So happy to know that another great kitty has a great home!
