Do you think its weird that i NEVER brush my hair?

i just use my hands... i have kind of thick long hair and when i blowdry it and straighten it , its nice and smooth from my conditioner. when i have knots i work throuhg them with my fingers. when i scrunch my hair i put the stuff in and throw it up, then blow dry it with my hands. my sister just asked me for a brush and i was like i dont have any and she was like ew ... is that ew?? lol thx

Not weird at all! I never use a brush on my hair...it makes it so frizzy and gross. Sometimes I burn my fingers while straightening but it seems to work much better than running through it with a brush. I think it helps prevent the hair from breaking at the ends as well.

Well from time to time i think it is good to use a brush but i have thick hair too and i use it and it helps ALOT so its ok if you dont use it but atleast buy and use one from time to time

I don't brush my hair either. I do notice that when I go to the hair salon I have a lot of hair in the brush, I'm guessing it's the normal hair loss that I do not brush out on a daily basis. I do not think you are weird. :)

LOL for a girl i think that is way weird but u r lucky. Im jealous cuz my b/f doesnt own a brush either. but his hair is short and he gets a cut every week, so he really doesnt need one. i still find it weird and for a female yea, way. that tells me that u dont style ur hair. but hey lucky u, no fuss %26amp; low maintnance. I personally could not even make it thru 2 hours without a brush, LOL.

I think you should try combing it. I have fairly thick wavy hair and when it's down to my elbows and I brush it I get frizz like you wouldn't believe. Use a detangling comb after you shower and a fine tooth comb for detangling and adding volume to the roots.

I don't see a problem with it. I only brush my hair if I want to get a little body in it, but I never use a brush to take out tangles or knots. And besides, brushes are what are really gross. There's a bunch of dead skin cells from your scalp.

I don't think it's weird, and if your sister never had a reason to notice that your hair was unbrushed, I don't see what her big issue is. I do think you should get a boar's-hair bristle brush, though. Brushing with one of those helps distribute your hair's natural oils down from the scalp and through to the ends.

By the way, I think it's more gross to share a brush than to not brush. Eww.

I have extremely long, curly hair and I never pick, comb, or brush it. I only wash my hair a twice a week, condition once. After I have left the conditionor in for a bit, I run my fingers through my hair, getting all of the excess hair out and de-tangling. I have done this for years and my hair gets compliments every day.

Personally, I believe brushing your hair every day is just like washing your hair every day--a ploy by cosmetics companies to sell products. As long as your scalp is clean and you remove the excess hair one way or another, your hair will look awesome!
