This is the first time we have only taken hand luggage and we have always put electrical items in cases, so I'm not sure where I stand. Surely encouraging people to only take hand luggage means that "routine" electrical items are allowed in the cabin ! My wife really does need her hair dryer and electric hair brush and myself my electric shaver, If this is not possible it seems like we are being forced into paying for a checked-in case !
Can we take electrical items in hand luggage on a Ryanir overnight to Dublin? eg. shaver/hair brush/dryer.?
i doubt it - but ring them and find out before you try

I'm sure you can. I took my hair straighteners on an Easyjet flight to Nice recently and that was no problem. If you are really concerned I would ring the airline and just double check.

You really need to ring the airline to be sure. Some have different rules from others. It's not as fraught as it was recently, but some still cling fairly strictly to those "emergency rules".
