Is a boar bristle brush good to use on bleached, dry hair?

Or will it just ruin hair more? I heard brushing is bad for hair.. is that true? And if it's okay to use a boar bristle brush.. I noticed that brushes that claim to be 100% boar bristle are different. some have "firmer" bristles than another boar bristle brush.. so what is better for hair? the brush with firmer boar bristles or the softer one?

Brushes are too harsh for bleached hair. You'd be better off using a wide toothed comb. Also, to help add mositure back to your hair, get a good reconstructor. Sallys carries one. Reconstructor is a conditioner that has smaller molecules, so the protein gets through the cuticle to the cortex. Put it in your hair, put on a shower cap, and leave it in for a good 30 minutes to an hour before you rinse it out.
