I'd think the longer it is the easier it would be to brush. Can't you just bring it around in front of you and just brush it?

If it's tangly....get some hair relaxers at the salon.

Rinse, condition, shampoo, condition again and then rinse very well.

Then apply the relaxer to your hair.

I used to have long hair. Mine is now shoulder length. I think your hair is really thick so that's probably why you can't comb through. You need to layer your hair. I think your hair is frizzy/unhealthy. Go buy Pantene Pro V shampoo/conditioner/treatments. Use the damaged hair kind. Your hair will be smooth after a while. Try not to blow dry alot. Blow drying will actually increae the frizz. Don't wash your hair everyday because it actually dries out your hair. After you wash your hair, blot, and use hair serum. I like Zero Frizz but I think John F. is also good. :)
