How should I brush my hair?

Hi,

I'm a white male with short, straight hair, and I was wondering a few things about how to brush it.. Firstly, how hard should I be brushing? Also, should I be using a soft-bristle, or hard-bristle brush?

Finally, can my hair fall out if I brush it too hard?

Thanks in advance,

George

ok first of all, your hair wont fall out....! If your hair is straight, then I would deffentenly use a hard-bristle brush because your hair can show all the knots.....I wouldnt brush it normally like you have been. its fine just follow me tips and you'll be okay!

If you have thinner hair, I would be more gentle. I have fine hair, and the harder I brush, the more hair comes out. What I do is a start at the top, and brush down till I feel a knot, then just take the brush out. Then I grab my hair as close to the roots as I can and pinch it really hard, and then tug the **** out of my hair till the knots come out and such. That way it doesn't pull on your roots/there is no pain/and you still can be forceful. It's really what ends up working best for you, try out different things! Good luck!

Because you have short hair, I would recommend using a flat massage brush. You should brush from your roots in the direction to the tips of the hair.

well if its short then you probably dont have to brush it...... just wash your hair.....and if you dont brush it your hair wont fall out!!!!
