Yeah, I use my hands to get the hair out of my brushes. Once I've done that I rinse it under a tap.

That's happened to me before with a round brush. I just slowly take it out small piece by small piece. If that doesn't work, get as much out as you can and perhaps cut the rest out.

take a comb or a pick and run it through your brush, it should pull up the majority of the hair, and what it doesn't get I can easily pull out with my hands!

You can not be serious????? Take a comb and comb through the brush. Pull any left out with your fingers, then wash the brush with either hand soap or shampoo. Then let the brush dry.
