My hair is very fine. I'd like a hairbrush that will help with breakage. My hair is pretty damaged. What's the best type of brush for my hair?
I don't like to style my hair. I just wash it, comb it with a wide tooth comb when it's wet, and let it air dry.

mason pearson brushes are very expensive but they work amazingly. they are the best brushes on earth. they distribute the natural oils in your hair so your hair is super shiny.

You need an outstanding shampoo and conditioner first. get suave. the one thats like matrix. it really helped my hair. Then instead of a comb you need to use a hmm....wide toothed brush.
they work outstanding.

If you are really afraid of breaking your hair, I would say stick to the wide tooth comb. It will cause you the least amount of breakage due to the fact that it causes the least amount of stress and pull to the hair.
Stay away from anything like a boar bristle brush or that is very fine.

omg "suave is like matrix" im rolling on the floor. that's absurd. here's your sign.
anyway. a boar's bristle brush will help distribute natural oils from your scalp through your hair. always use your comb on your wet hair though. my favorite brush is jean pierre *sigh* http://www.jean-pierre-creations.com/Pro... i haven't used the boar one, but the nylon one is AWESOME. detangles hair (even heavily sprayed, teased grandma helmet head) in a snap without pain! it is the most amazing brush i have ever found. worth every penny. i have nearly destroyed mine; don't think you are supposed to use it with a really hot blow dryer *oops*
you should treat the damage as well. get some antisnap by redken. it is a protein leave-in conditioner. awesome stuff. not heavy. one pump every time you shampoo, before you blow dry. kept my hair from falling out when i bleached black out of it. i swear by it ;)
good luck!
