Go to the section of the grocery store or pharmacy that sells hair products for african american hair. You'll see cans of stuff called "olive oil conditioning spray" or "finishing spray." This will keep the static out of your hair without weighing it down or making it sticky. I always look for one that has mink oil in it

I have heard many ways of fixing this problem....and I'm sure they all work well.....But I'm rather simplistic I just wet the hairbrush with warm water than brush my hair.....when I'm on the go I just have a small spritzer bottle of scented water to spritz on my hair or on my brush......

Conditioner... and sometimes combing your hair does that less than brushing... at least for me. Also, this sounds weird, but I read you can like, run an icecube down it... dunno if that works though...
