I recommend placing the rabbit on a table about waist high (about 40" for an adult person) while you groom it. Stand while you are grooming the animal and groom the animal on a piece of carpeting. Carpet sample mats from a carpet store work great for this. The carpet helps capture the loose hair. Next, grab the rabbits head in one had, using your hand to cover the rabbit's eyes. Wrap your thumb firmly around the base of the rabbit's ears. Wrapping your thumb firmly around the base of the rabbit's ears helps give you control over the rabbit's head, keeping it from moving its head and biting you. It's important to note that you want to wrap your thumb as close to the base of the ears as possible. The closer your thumb is to the base of the ears, the more control you have. If the rabbit is a wool breed such as an Angora or Jersey Wooley, use a rabbit hair brush to comb the knots out of the hair. This needs to be done regularly (a couple times a week). If the rabbit is a non-wool breed, lightly wet your hand with water and brush the loose hair out with your hand. The loose hair will stick to your slightly wet hand. (Note: the hair should not obtain a wet look, if it does you used too much water.) A wet hand for normal fur rabbits is usally used because a brush will tend to damage the hair more.

Also, make sure that you do not brush too hard or too much. Either can be uncomfortable to the rabbit.

I almost forgot to tell you how to pick the rabbit up. Pick the rabbit up by placing one hand under the rabbit's chest. Place the other hand on the rabbit's rump. Lift the rabbit up and place the rabbit's head in your armpit. Placing the rabbit's head in your armpit gives the rabbit a place to hide while you are carrying it. Keep your arm somewhat tight on the rabbit's head to keep the rabbit from moving its head, but not too tight to make the rabbit uncomfortable, remember your armpit is the rabbit's hiding place. If it's uncomfortable, it's not a good hiding place. I also recommend wearing an old thick coat with long sleeve arms at least for the first several times you try this, so you don't get scratched and so if the rabbit tries biting your side while holding it's head in your armpit (which some will do) it bites the coat and not you.

"Devilish Blue Eyes" has given you some really good advice there - especially with the idea, that you gently cover your bunn's eyes - as with many animals, if you cover his eyes, he'll calm down and sit still.

However, be very careful about sitting your bunn on a table - it's so easy for a bunny to jump or lunge, and if he's high off the ground, it only takes a second for him to fall and break a leg or even his spine. I suggest following DBE's suggestions, but do it either sitting on the floor, or with your bunn sitting on your couch or armchair.

I take a spray bottle filled with water and lightly mist the bunny. Then I run my hands through the fur. Your hands will be covered in fur. Then rub your hands together and the fur will ball up so you can dispose of it in the trash. Repeat until you have removed the dead hair. Most bunnies will love the massage. Especially if you keep one hand on bunnies favorite place to be pet.

Do not soak the bunny. The hair comes off easier when you just lightly mist the bunny. Sometimes you can just dampen your hands. When using a Zoom Groom I dampen it as well.

I find it best to put bunny on a sheet before I groom. That way I can clean the hair up easily by taking the sheet outside shake it and into the wash with it.

Hi ive got one of these, its not a hair dryer and its called a straightening brush, you just use it instead of a hair brush when you dry your hair, and the heat gets on to the metal plates and straightens the hair. Very tricky to us In my opinion.

I know you can get one of those heat stylers like a hair dryer with different attachments and one of these is an attachment to fit on to it, so you wouldnt need to use a hairdryer as well as straightening brush.

I think all makes make them now a days, I know argos have them.

Vitamin E helps for hair growth. I have very thick, wavy hair and I bought a large flat brush. It helps with the tangles, so I don't pull out a lot of hair extra hair. Well, yes, because when you don't brush it, all the loose hairs get wedged in with the curly ones and sit there until you finally brush. When you get out of the shower, spray in a light leave-in conditioner and just pick through it (if you're wearing it curly), this way you're getting through it without excess hair breakage. A great vitamin I've taken is just a cheap one you can buy most places. I bought mine at Dollar Tree. They were called: Body, Skin, and Nails and were mostly B vitamins. Your hair may be thin and not strong enough when you brush it while it is wet.... Water slightly weakens the bonds on your hair... I do not think it is caused by your shampoo... but it could play a small part...especially if the shampoo contains alcohol (that weakens the hair as well)... Look on the ingredients and see if alcohol is part of the contents.... if it is, then I would stop using the product.....

If it is just a matter of your hair being thin or weak, I would suggest conditioning your hair at least once a week with a conditioner as well.... Also try to avoid using excess amounts of heat (ie flat iron...curling irons etc...)

A good Shampoo is something that I feel one should invest money in. Herbal Essescence isn't a bad choice of Shampoo, but I would reccommend using salon type products. Paul Mitchell is a great line to try for healthy, shiny, break free hair....

Another tip would be to never comb wet hair, hair is extremely prone to breakage when it's wet. If you must comb wet hair, the safest way is to use a wide tooth comb.

dont buy one thats only like $20, usually they are bad for your hair. Chi's are very expensive, usually around $200... if that is out of your price range you can get a really good one, i own it, for about $40. its a 1" ceremic flat iron from conair. (Called Infiniti by Conair) it has adjustable temperatures for best use on your hair without damaging it. If you but from conair, its about $60.. buy it from walmart, much cheaper.

buy a chi straightener. i have really curly, thick, frizzy hair and it works perfect!!! it is a little expensive at 120-160 (depending on the model, i have the original) but it is SOOO worth it, and they last longer than the cheap straightners! :D

also dont forget to buy a good heat protector for when using a straightener, i use iron guard by chi. and u can get all chi products at ulta!! hope i helped!

to my opinion, gel %26amp; water wont work nicely together. Like for example, if your hair is wet %26amp; you apply gel on it, gel wont do much in styling your hair. I recommend you to dry your hair first then apply gel. Then brush your hair according to your style. Two things that really cause tangled hair are wind and sleep. When you go out in the wind it blows all your hair together. Try to pull your hair back in a bun or ponytail in the wind. Also put your hair in a bun or ponytail when you sleep because you roll around and your hair is in total knots. And use pantene blue normal conditioner, it takes the knots out almost instantly!

Cut it to shoulder length or shorter. I always go back and forth between long and short hair. Short hair doesn't get knotted. Long hair (In my opinion) looks better and is easier to style (once the knots are gone)

i'm guessing you have curly hair? hairspray is not going to get rid of knots. always use a good conditioner (i like aussie) and afterwards i either use biosilk (you should be able to find at walgreens, cvs, walmart,-little clear bottle, black top) or a children's detangler by equate or johnson and johnson. just try anything that says detangler.

Don't worry super woman is here to save the day :).......i used this detangular stuff for my friend and she has long hair that gets so knoty all the time....im not sure if it sells anymore at shoppers or drug marts but its called.."Johnson's No More Tangles"...its a white bottle with lil red and blue bubbles floating around....but they may have changed the bottle well good luck with those knots....and maybe buy a stronger brush that may help too!

It's certainly normal for hair to fall out on it's own, in the shower, or when you brush it. But if it's coming out by the handfuls, that doesn't sound normal. I would talk to your doctor. You could have a protein deficiency or something like that. Or it could be as simple as wearing rubberbands or ponytail holders too tight in your hair. When you remove them, it might be ripping out your hair.

It sounds like you have hair spray build up. Most shampoos only Cleon your hair and don't remove the build up. Try a deep cleanse every few days. Like Salon Selectives (Daily Clarifying). Deep condition your hair - Step 1: Wash hair and rinse thoroughly. Wrap in clean towel.

Step 2: Mix equal parts baby oil and a deep conditioning conditioner in a small microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave until mixture is hot.

Step 3: Remove towel. Carefully message mixture though your hair to the roots, and to the ends.

Step 4: Wet towel in very hot water, as hot as you can tolerate, and wring out all excess water.

Step 5: Wrap hair in hot towel. Leave on for at least 30 minutes. Or overnight in a hair towel wrap if desired.

Step 6: Wash hair with shampoo, repeat, and use a touch of conditioner following.

Step 7: Rinse hair thoroughly.

Your hair will be deep hot oil conditioned, and you can repeat this process monthly or more often if necessary.

Tip: Works well if hair has been damaged by a perm or frequent bleaching or coloring!

You do not want to get it severely knoted, as it is severely painful to get it out. I reccomend using lots of conditioner, but after every 5 washes, wash it with a bit of shampoo, so your hair doesn't get too oily.

You need to use a cream rinse after shampooing, and then with a very large tooth comb, comb out your hair very gently. Brushing your hair too much is very bad for your hair and will lead to breakage and split ends.

as i colour my hair mine gets knotty easily, i suggest using an intensive conditioner perhaps by pantene once a week or so. the leave in ones are too oily though so avoid those. and comb the conditioner through before you wash it out.

light oil and press your hair with a straightening comb. Depending on what type of hair you have or what race you are determines the amount of heat. If you are of caucasion decent then don't use too high a heat setting. As you do this every couple of days, it will train the hair to be straight and less knotted. Of course you could always use a relaxer, but hot straightening combs do way less damage. Of course if you use a relaxer you wont have to do this every other day, the relaxer is a one time deal. Depends if you want to dye your hair in the future. If you plan to dye it don't go with a relaxer, go with the straightening comb option. conditioner is always a good idea. I have this problem to from time to time. If you start using a leave in conditioner, you should put it in while your hair is still wet from washing, other wise it can make your hair look greasy.

If you need a quick fix try wetting your brush. it will get your hair wet, but it will dry fairly quickly.

I have hair that is kind of wavy and can be curly but if I don't put anything in it after a shower, it just frizzes and poufs... I have used Aussie Knot Forgotten detangler ( under $3 at WalMart) for years and I just apply a quarter-size amount after I shampoo and towel-dry my hair b/c this is the only way I can comb through it.

Biosilk gloss is also great for helping hair stay silky and smooth...

you could try pulling it straight back if its wet at night and wait for it to air dry, after that let the pony tail lose a little and wrap a silk scarf around it. if its not wet at night you could put it in braids to keep it from poofing and it would be much easier to brush but then you would have crimped hair in the morning. If you dont like the crimped look you could try just putting your hair in a loose ponytail but then the poof factor may not be helped with out the scarf. it will however be easier to brush in the morning. i hope i helped =]

Go to the section of the grocery store or pharmacy that sells hair products for african american hair. You'll see cans of stuff called "olive oil conditioning spray" or "finishing spray." This will keep the static out of your hair without weighing it down or making it sticky. I always look for one that has mink oil in it

first of all your beauty starts with your attitude, if you change your attitude and start to see yourself for the pretty girl that Im sure you are, then that will shine through to other people. Sure you might be able to straighten your hair and it look cute or do your makeup differently but if your happy in your heart and you smile then thats the first big step. It sounds silly I know but its very true!

As for your skin.. why do you want pale skin? I dont know where you live but here most girls would rather be tan than pale.. so your gifted in that department. And just experiment with your hair and find something that works for you. Spend a saturday trying different styles. You can try straightening, or curling, or blow drying or air drying and wearing it back or partially pulled back.. there are endless options.

unless you have very wirey hair, you are not conditioning it properly, i have mega thick long hair, and found once i changed conditioner and applied it properly i no longer had this problem

At work I use barbacide in a jar with water. You know that blue stuff at the salon that the combs are in. But baking soda works very well when scrubbed with a tooth brush on the comb. If you use a comb to "comb your brush" it will take all the loose hair out of the brushes bristles. Then soak them in hot water and baking soda.
