Lent in hair brush? ewww?

Ok, I have this really annoying problem that I'm sure many girls can sympathize.. I have enough lent in my hairbrushes to make enough sweaters for my new fall wardrobe. How on earth do I get it out, and more importantly, keep it out? I've tried keeping my brushes in plastic containers and everything but they still get full of lent, and worse it comes out on my hair and my fiancee is always having to pull it out. Are there any tips and tricks to prevent this? I can sit for an hour pulling lent out of a brush and I never can get it all out.. any tips for that, too? Thanks!

Wow, you have a catholic holiday in your hairbrush. How awesome is that?!

I'm not trying to be rude, but it's spelled L-I-N-T.

Do you use hairspray, or gel or something? chances are whatever is on your brush is probably attracting or attaching to the residuals of hair product. And as for getting rid of lint ==The best way I know to clean a hairbrush is to dab a little drop or 2 of handsoap or liquid dishsoap on the brush and while holding it under running warm water, scrub another brush on the bristles of the "dirty" brush. you will probably get splashed by bubbles a little bit so do this sometime when you don't mind getting wet and when you have time to let the brush air dry after it's washed. It will not probably prevent the lint from coming back, but if you wash it whenever you see them coming back they probably won't stick in your hair anymore.

Hope it works for you!

I had the same problem too but then i realized when you dry your hair after a shower with a towel the lint from the towel gets on your hair and then into your brush so don't bother putting it into containers. Either 1) Get new towels. or 2) Buy a comb. They make bigger ones too so they don't hurt so much when you have to get knots out. Also if you use a comb i would first put in a leave in conditioner or detanger. Hope I helped =]
